Change of use renovation - from pub to busy dental laboratory

Commercial Renovation | East Sussex

Diamond Interior Contracts/Pub Transformation into Dental Lab

Our client had found a property that he considered to be ideal for his new dental laboratory, a building where his team could create dental implants crowns, braces and dentures. The property had been a village pub and required complete renovation and refurbishment to become a practical laboratory space.

Externally we kept many of the features of this pub which had been a feature of the Crowborough landscape for over a hundred years. It required a full industrial clean however which we arranged early in the process and a beautiful building emerged from the dirt.

A change to the layout was required internally to create smaller, practical workshops but before that could be done we had to address issues with the external walls, insulation and the general fabric of the building. Once the building was stable and returned to A1 condition which will serve the business for many years to come, we could address the internal restructure and core utilities – installing new electrics and plumbing. Finally our team were ready to complete new floor and wall coverings, ceilings, acoustic wall panels, create storage, do all the redecoration and the creation of a secret door to a hidden plaster cast lab!

We received so much praise from locals on the renovation, particularly on how distinctive it looks at night all lit up. The fact that this iconic village building continues to be in use, albeit with a new identity, makes us proud.
